TAPPING

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an alternative treatment for emotional distress. It has been known to be referred to as psychological acupressure. EFT works by deactivation of the amygdala ( stress centre in the brain) and hippocampus( memory centre) which is why it is also used for PTSD.

When we get stressed, our body produces cortisol to help us but if we do not burn this cortisol off and our body stay in an extreme state of stress, we can begin to experience anxiety. We can feel overwhelmed with fear of our future. We can experience anger, rejection and even low self-esteem there are so many emotions we feel. We can begin to feel stuck unable to move past these emotions and don’t know how to redirect the emotional pain we are feeling.
